Registered charities are the most common type of qualified donee, but there are two other types that fall underneath the qualified donee umbrella.
A qualified donee is a term cited in Canada’s Income Tax Act, that refers to a type of organization that can issue you a charitable tax receipt when you give to it. A qualified donee can also receive money from other registered charities.
