Proudly presented by Charitable Impact, TechPong invites Vancouver’s business and tech communities to the ultimate ping pong party with a purpose.
Teams will gather at Science World on October 19 to battle it out on the ping-pong table, connect with Vancouver’s best and brightest, and bond with colleagues—all while championing a cause they care about.
If you’ve already submitted your team registration, it’s time to kick off your fundraising journey! Remember, each registered team needs to raise $2,000 collectively to secure their spot in the tournament.
Many of us may be new to fundraising and it can feel daunting when you don’t know where to start, but we’re here to help you every step of the way. Once you’ve successfully registered for the event, our team will reach out to create your Campaign page and set you up for fundraising success.
Your Campaign page is a free and simple way to track and celebrate the success of your fundraising efforts. It will capture the total sum of all contributions made to your fundraiser.
Campaigns can be used as your team’s only fundraising page, or you can invite individuals to create supporting Giving Groups for different departments and small work fundraisers.

Pizza Party
No one can resist the tempting aroma of freshly delivered pizza. Brighten up everyone’s lunch hour by organizing a pizza lunch and ask for donations of $5 in exchange for a slice.
Snack Attack
Set up a snack station at the office and encourage donations to your Giving Group or Campaign for each snacktastic visit, and watch your TechPong fundraiser grow.
Desk Cleanup Service
Send out a message offering to clean colleagues’ desks for a donation, and add the link to your Campaign page. Decluttering and contributing to a good cause? It’s a win-win.
Office Bake-Off
Have your co-workers bring their yummiest baked goods to work. Invite the office to taste test each goodie and, charging per treat, and hold a vote to see whose is the tastiest. You’ll be raising plenty of dough (ahem) in no time!
Board Game Tournament
A board game tournament is a simple and cost-effective workplace fundraiser that can engage your colleagues and rally the competitive spirit. Have players register for the tournament by donating to your Giving Group or Campaign.
Hot Wings Challenge
Heat things up with our hot wings challenge! Volunteers sign up to tackle spicier wings as donations increase. The funds raised contribute to the cause.

Extra Vacation Day Raffle
Offer the chance to win an extra day off as the ultimate raffle prize. Set up a Giving Group and offer an entry for every $20 donated. The more money folks’ donate, the more chances they have of scoring an extra day off.
Team Trivia Night
Organize a trivia night where teams pay an entry fee via donating to participate. Challenge their knowledge and crown the office trivia champions!
Virtual Auction
Organize an online auction with items or experiences donated by colleagues, local businesses, or supporters.
Virtual Cooking Class
Put on an apron and channel your inner Jamie Oliver. Or invite a professional to donate an hour or two to a good cause and stream the class from the comfort of their home – with all the proceeds going to your cause.
