Each year, we reflect on the incredible difference Charitable Impact’s donors have made, and once again, we are deeply inspired by your kindness and generous actions.

We set the calendar for December 1, 2023, to December 1, 2024, to celebrate your impact. We took a look back at everything from the number of gifts sent to charities to the largest giving communities across Canada. Join us as we take a stroll down generosity lane and celebrate the amazing impact we created in 2024!

Big Moves and Exciting Updates from Charitable Impact in 2024

2024 was a busy year for the Charitable Impact team. Here’s a glimpse into some of the initiatives and projects we worked on.

  • Charity Matters: Our Founder and CEO, John Bromley, was featured in 12 new podcasts talking about everything from inspiring generosity in children to the future of donor-advised funds.
  • New Features: In September, we launched our Multiple Administrators feature, allowing you to give more collaboratively by adding up to 3 administrators to your Impact Account. While beneficial to anyone who wants others to help manage their Impact Account today, this feature sets the stage for major product announcements coming in early 2025—stay tuned!
  • Recognized for Culture: We were thrilled to receive the 2024 Canada’s Most Admired™ Corporate Cultures Award. This award celebrates our team’s dedication to building tools that empower your generosity and reflect the shared purpose and values that unite us all.

Your 2024 Impact in Numbers

In 2024, your giving spirit shone brighter than ever. You donated $232 million into your Impact Account, fuelling the future of giving.

While making 28,099 gifts to Canadian registered charities, totalling an inspiring $115 million to causes you care about.

Your generosity reached charities of all sizes, fueling impact across small, medium, and large organizations.

“Giving doesn’t just come down to money. Money is just a measure of wealth. The true measure of your soul is what resonates and makes you better and makes everyone around you better.”

Tim Mah, Vancouver dance educator & creator of the Dare-2-Danzkool Giving Group

Million Dollar Milestone

In 2024, Charitable Impact’s Cause Funds program reached a significant milestone as the ALS Super Fund surpassed $1 million raised in its fight to #EndALS. Championed by former NHL player Mark Kirton, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2018, this incredible achievement was made possible with the support of generous Canadians. A special thanks goes out to the NHL and its fans who came together to raise money for this important cause. The Super Fund has experienced remarkable growth, directing resources toward vital ALS research and initiatives nationwide.

Charitable Impact’s Cause Funds Program addresses a common roadblock for donors – rather than choosing one charity to give to, you can support one cause and have your donation benefit multiple charities. By leveraging the wisdom and expertise of individuals most familiar with maximizing impact for different causes and geographies, donors can confidently and effectively support the causes they care about and trust every dollar will achieve its maximum potential.

Charitable Impact is proud to continue to provide the tools and support to help the ALS Super Fund reach their goal.

“When we left the hospital, my wife and I decided there were two directions to go. One direction is to go in the corner and say, ‘Why me?’ The other option is to come out fighting and use whatever platform you have–in my case, it was professional hockey.”

Mark Kirton, Former NHL Player, ALS warrior & champion of the ALS Super Fund
